Additional Courses

All of the Additional Courses are sold separately, but the basic topics will also be discussed within our Level’s 1 thru 4.

Commuter Cycling Skills

Objective

This 3-4 hour course is for individuals who have previously completed Level 2 or can demonstrate their ability/skills to the instructor at the beginning of class. Students should be comfortable on a bicycle, but also have the desire to further develop their skills and road safety understanding. This course will review equipment and safety needs, with a practical focus on riding safely and effectively throughout local infrastructure.

*The online e-learning is a requirement to be completed and presented to the instructor prior or before the end of the course.

Women Only

Objective

All courses, Level’s 1 thru 4 and our Additional Courses, are available and offered to individuals and groups to be taught by women, for women.

*The same objectives will be applied, regardless of the course.

Older Adult

Let's Ride - Cycling Canada

Objectives

  • Ensure participants have a fun, safe, stage-appropriate experience that makes them want to come back.
  • Help to develop basic cycling skills which are transferable to all cycling disciplines, and which can be done on any kind of bicycle.
  • Introduce participants to the idea of competition and show them the competition pathway if they want to become more involved.

Cycling Canada is the owner of the CAN-BIKE program, and provides information related to the program. Scheduling and delivery of courses are conducted by its certified instructors, either independently or through municipal organizations within each province/territory.
